Institutions

We’re on the same page as you!

We hope to add value to a person’s life-long learning experience via experiential learning techniques. This can complement well the classroom and/or online based learning you offer your students and also help those recently graduating into relevant employment.

Our programmes offer participants the opportunity to gain professional skills relating to their degree subject areas within relevant host companies, plus also intangible skills such as confidence and independence, all within an international setting.

Within our internship services, for participants we offer a suite of programmes which are carefully tailored to meet the needs, requirements and skill levels of our participants according to their academic level and work history.

We’d love for more institutions to become involved in what we do. We have built relations with several universities, colleges and departments over the years, tailoring our services to fit their requirements.

Some suggestions of ways in which you can become involved are as follows:

  • Our suite of programmes

Within our internship services, for participants we offer a suite of programmes which are carefully tailored to meet the needs, requirements and skill levels of our participants according to their academic level and work history.

    Step into Programmes

Whether bachelor or masters level, we offer a range of “step into” programmes. These aim to provide opportunities which can compliment a person’s academic course, such as to be inserted during the summer months, to be developed into a semester abroad programme and/or worked towards a sandwich year/full year placement programme. We can tailor the programmes to suit research/dissertation requirements, MBA programmes, bachelor degree summer school students etc.

    Bridge Programmes

For graduates, (i.e. graduated within the last 12 months), we offer a range of “bridge” programmes. These are designed to assist participants to make the transition from education to the workplace flow a little smoother, and in many cases, more successful. It’s a great opportunity for your graduates and hopefully improve the employment rates when they leave your institution.

    Connect Programmes

For young professionals, we offer a range of “connect” programmes. These are aimed towards graduates who have a few years work experience and seeking to make an upward move with their career, or take a slight career break (as in being able to travel, but still not loosing total contact with their profession).

  • Our academic credentials

Our programmes are based around the David Kolb’s experiential learning theory. The art of, learning through doing, permeates everything we do. But, we also have a series of resources for participants to work through to aid their reflection on the programme and gain the most from the opportunity.

We have an online learning centre where participants have access to a range of resources to assist with and support them through their experience. This ranges from general logistical advice, info about culture shock, as well as resources for them to work through and reflect on their internships.

Our “curriculum” is being developed further at present, in co-operation with some of the leading professors in experiential learning and will be updated here in the near future.

However, it does mean that if an institution requires students to do internships as a part of their programmes, we can work with you to develop online support areas, co-brand materials, assist with paperwork such as internship agreements, co-ordinate assessments, feedback and reports, ultimately helping with the administrative side of your placement office. Also, if institutions are interested, we can advise further on the academic side of the internships, should this be required.
